Does Your Intellect overcome Your Instinct? WHY?
Intellect is the ability of the mind to make corrections or decisions concerning what (IT) considers true or real.
Instinct i.e."The Voice Of Reason" is what screams at you to RUN when you are confronted by a bear.
Every human being operates from one or the other Intellect or instinct, we either allow our intuitiveness or our instinct to speak or we allow our intellect to run things, with its smart ,I got this self (: When we become saved our intellect must yield or surrender to the wisdom of God as the highest authority or the only decision maker, while our natural instinct SHOULD become conjoin or linked with the wisdom of God which ALWAYS empowers us to make the right choice!
So one could draw this conclusion, The wisdom of God must become ONE with the instinct by which we reason, think, ascertain or deduce and SHOULD be our motivating force, or our go-to source in every decision we make.
The word tells us that God breathed the breath of life into man and he BECAME a living soul! The breathe of God activates the inborn intuitive power within every believer to "DO THE RIGHT THING!" but our intellect will present itself also when choices must be made and this is what causes us to miss the mark, because INTELLECT or your "smarts" rebel against any wisdom that (IT) is not in control of.
Instinct says listen for the still small voice, There is an answer in Gods word exercise your FAITH and WAIT on it! Intellect says I need not wait because I am to smart to fall into a trap, I have reasoned past this problem and no matter what happens my plan B is better than the average guys plan A (YEA RIGHT) "Pride Goeth Before Destruction, And A Haughty Spirit Before A Fall." If your intellect tells you that the Bible works in SOME situations, but common sense or intelligence should always be consulted, then bring your lovely selves down, for you my friends are sitting upon a throne of LIES! The word of God is the ONLY correct answer in every situation, and when making every decision .Proverbs 16:18
How many of us actually operate like we know that the word of God is the HIGHEST wisdom? Evangelist Kristye Moore-Worshipper
~ESSAY XI INTELLECT~
In every man's mind, some images, words, and facts remain,
without effort on his part to imprint them, which others forget, and
afterwards these illustrate to him important laws. All our progress
is an unfolding, like the vegetable bud. You have first an instinct,
then an opinion, then a knowledge, as the plant has root, bud, and
fruit. Trust the instinct to the end, though you can render no
reason. It is vain to hurry it. By trusting it to the end, it shall
ripen into truth, and you shall know why you believe.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
